My father contracted Hepatatis C as a result of a contaminated blood transfusion from the NHS.
He lived with the condition for over 30 years, before it finally kicked in and the effects ravaged his body. My father eventually died, but recieved 2 liver transplants and had he not died, would have recieved another.
I am forever grateful for the extension to his life granted by the doctors, nurses, medical professionals and most crucially the DONORS who gave my father the precious gift of life. Today is his anniversary, and it drives me to tears that there are young men and women like me out there, who do not realise their potential.
I am not so arrogant or burdened with hubris to demand or extort you, dear loyal friends of TSR to become an organ donor.
But I would beg you, for whatever reason, whatever reason at all, that you even CONSIDER the POSSIBILITY of becoming an organ donor.
For that which you do to the least of my brothers, that which you do upon to me.
Thank you for reading.
