I feel as if the charts take in songs and spit them back out a few weeks later as songs we cant stand. What is the reason?
Is it that all the music is overplayed, or is it the fact that only songs that sound "catchy" get into it. I always used to get annoyed when people would judge my taste because I picked out songs from the charts, but now I feel the same way they do.
I just wanted to ask the general population, does anyone actually think the majority of the songs in the charts are good?
Why do genuinely good songs from other genres fail to make an appearance?
Is it just the fact that the record labels use big names and advertising to push their songs forward?
I hate to say this but when people like Jack Garratt make it to the charts I feel good and bad at the same time because his music deserves so much more than "top40". Is someone willing to make a new "charts" with good music?

I like the majority of chart songs, when you go out clubbing most chart songs are far better than the crap people on here who are oh so enlightened about music would choose.

Yeah I get where youre coming from, but most of the songs they play in clubs are under the genre of dance

Clubs in my town tend to play a fair share of dance-inspired pop music, hip hop and Grime.

    Watch this:

+ I am willing to make a new chart. (But let's not forget that Indie Shuffle and KEXP exist.)
