AQA Maths question core 4

i found the remainder of 2x^3-x^2+2x-2 by doing bus stop method, i got -1 as the remainder and i got x^2+1 on top
for the second question it was
given that (2x^3-x^2+2x-2)/2x-1 = x^2+a+b/2x-1
can someone help me with this please?

Please supply the question. Also the "bus stop" method is some kind of local description. I have never heard of it.
