So, I am currently looking at starting AS levels but I feel like I am too old and that my age is stopping me.

I also feel like I wasted almost two years of my life doing a BTEC which I did not fully enjoy.

I did not know what I wanted to become at that time and thought doing a BTEC will get me to where I want, however little did in know.

Me saying that though, it does not mean that BTECS are bad, its just that they focus on a particular route, which I am not longer interested in

I am just hoping that if I am able to do AS levels in sociology, religious studies and the HSC BTEC this September, and try hard to do well in them, it will open more doors for me as I am still not certain of my career route.

I have approached a sixthfrom not far from where I live and to my surprise the secretariat just handed me the application form. Although I do somewhat think this is partly because their sixthform is not the best and has not got many applicants.
So, did anyone on here start their AS levels at 18 and how did you find it? where you at a sixthform college or an FE college?

I just can't help but feel old.

Don't focus on the fact that you're effectively an OAP, you need to do this to get to where ya wanna go.
How are you feeling about your exams?
