I am away to choose my S6 choices... my decision has been Adv. English, Adv. Biology and Higher Psychology...
However, Higher Economics looks quite interesting but I dont want 4 subjects as id like S6 to be a lot less stressful so i can focus a bit more on my sports! if i took economics i would not take advanced bio but would take another higher. so my options are- Adv english + Higher Psychology + Adv Biology /OR/ Adv english + Higher Psychology + Higher economics + extra Higher.
what i really want to know, from people who have this experience, so just personal opinions...
How does the work load/stress of advanced highers compare to highers?
    ( as in 1 advanced = 2 highers or 1 higher = 1 advanced, etc etc)
    thanks so much!
NOTE: im planning on going to uni to study either english, physiotherapy, zoology or animal behaviour! thanks! x

Personally, I would do with the adv English, H Psychology, H economics and another Higher (maybe), possibly PE?

This is just my personal opinion, its really stressful. Obviously, the higher the qualification you'll obviously stand out, so that depends on whether you'd want that. Adv highers are a lot of work and can be really stressful if you're taking so many plus highers.

A lot of people tend to slack in S6. I crashed two Highers last year and got two A's, but I was willing to put in the effort. So, you can do the same.

I would suggest taking into account the subjects you're doing the now and look into potential uni's in all of these degrees requirements to get entry. Then, decide from then on.

That's a good point thank you! Yeah I do put the effort in so I should be fine with that. A point my friend made is that she thinks advanced highers are pointless unless you want advanced entry into uni (which I don't really) so the more highers the better. I just don't want to take two advanced subjects and feel overwhelmed by pressure! I feel pretty overwhelmed this year with 5 highers so I just don't know! Hah thanks!
