We have james, legal eagle, anon, another mp I believe leave, and saorise was banned. That is a loss of five members, we have managed to replace every seat emptied, and still have members who are not mps, we could manage a couple more seats
So you're saying that you've had basically no active intake this term?

    (Original post by cranbrook_aspie)
Right, well either you've misremembered or someone is plain wrong.
Between the two of you I would suggest you determine your story

I said we have lost 4/5 mps and managed to replace all of them, and have people still without a seat. I don't see how that says we haven't had a active intake this term?

Because even before seat losses there was supposed to be this super active group which never turn up, so if you've lost members and had an intake to cover them, and had this super active group, then there should be more than possibly 1 you aren't even certain on left to take up the mantle

I said nearly all our active members are MPs, she said we could fill a couple more seats. I don't see the contradiction.

We have one very active non-mp, and others who have offered to stand in by-elections previous to the current by-election. Are we at our most active? No, but we are gaining members on a regular basis, and we have enough members to fill our seats, and to act as proxies, possibly mps next term

Given that we got 50 votes on the MONC way before it closed, we should be able to handle an increase

We got 50 votes in the MoNC yes but thats far from regular. I havent seen enough people debate to convince me that 60 active members could become MPs.

I'd be happy to extend the House provided we return the minimum voting percentage to 50%.

We don't have enough activity to increase the minimum %age and the number of MPs.

Aye as long as it takes effect after the next general election, as ten by-elections would be a strange event and not proportional.

I would suggest a macau D'Hondt. If we had this with that last election the house would be:

    Lab: 11
    Con: 11
    Lib: 10
    Kip: 10
    Grn: 9
    Soc: 9

Although the greens ans socs might struggle with 8 seats everyone else would be fine.

I don't know what her ban status is, but she won't be coming back into Labour whilst I'm leading it.

Aye, I am confident UKIP would fill extra MP seats, the Liberals have boasted the Liberals have to possibility to fill more seats, and I have it on good word the Conservatives can. Rejecting this proposal will only be done to help the left-wing parties where activity is an issue, if the Prime Minister is suggesting lowering voting requirements to 50% when adding an extra 10 MPs that is a serious sign of terminal activity crises in the party.
