Young Brits have learned that Margret Thatchers and Ronald Regans Neo-Liberalism trickle down is nothing more than a scam.

Reason Germany does so well is because they don't turn on each as much as we do.

Young Brits need to go and have a basic history lesson. Funny how those that experienced the 70's and the destruction socialism do also dislike it the most. I think all those that support it should have a 90% tax imposed on them and not allowed to buy any products produced by a capitalist company. Goods luck leading any good life in you council estate surrounded by uneducated chavs

We're all socio-capitalist to some degree with the intensity of either varying from person to person, country to country.

With our electoral system this is somewhat relevant. It suggests that a unified socialist vote is higher than a unified capitalist vote but because of the geographical spread it's immaterial and at any rate it still suggests that for a 40%+ result parties need to increase turnout/appeal to floaters.

That said i'm mildly alarmed that Germany is so sympathetic.

If you aren't a socialist by 25, you have no heart, if you're still one afterwards, you have no head.

Socialism is very popular with people who have few responsibilities. This is why students and those in public services are so often leftists. There is a very clear shift to the right as people age and gain responsibilities for the same reasons.

Socialism has also been correlated in a study to physical weakness; it's essentially the philosophy of the herd, strength in numbers. The entitlement to have what others work for. Trading freedom for security. I pity anyone who calls themself a socialist, they are only broadcasting their own mental weakness, selfishness and ineptness.

Socialism in its various guises has caused so much misery and poverty in the last 100 years it's a travesty that these theories are still being pushed in academia today.

Socialism is the recurring lie that governments are so incorruptible, competent and intelligent in the use of their own resources that they should have a controlling interest in everyone else's.

Capitalism is the recurring lie that everyone is so passionately engaged, educated and incorruptible in their own and others interests that they will naturally make the best choices.

The answer to most of societies ills are not a revolution of government but an evolution of the mind.

If no one is allowed to buy products made by capitalist. .. the capitalist companies will fall quickly too. ..:ahee:

Oh conversely capitalist companies who have problems paying their fair share of tax can cease using public infrastructure like roads and stop hiring graduates from education institutions government provide. Oh and no copyright protection from the legal system. Free pirated stuff for everyone! !
