Hello everyone, so I am currently 3 months into my Counselling FdA and I absolutely hate it. One thing I have realised however you only get one chance in life so you should do what makes you happy. I wanted to do Fashion in the first place but was put off by negative feedback saying it gets you no where! Why oh why did I Listen!

So at 28 Years old I will be applying as a mature student...again (I am going to see my University and see if I can change within the same institution) But one of the requirements is that I need a Portfolio, looking online it needs to include drawings. Is this true? I cannot draw to save my life!

I do however have physical pieces that I have created, such as a dress and a top and some pieces of jewellery, I went to college and learned garment construction years ago and have done home projects ever since, I have also made a tote bag, oh and some hand made teddy bears! Not sure if the bears count though :/

What is the probability of being accepted if I cannot draw and do not show drawings in my portfolio?

Any help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance

I'm in the same boat! I'm 26 and want to study fashion.

Although, I already have a degree (nursing, first-class). I have been told you have to have a qualification in an art in design subject to study fashion. As I don't have one, I am thinking of going back to college. :-/

    Laura :-)
