I've been recently wondering what attributes men commonly have that are attractive. Is appearance an important attribute to have? What other factors do you think are important too?

Appearance doesn't really matter as such to me..obviously aesthetics is the first thing I look at but too much honest, funny, somewhat smart and a nice person will win a lot of people over

Looks or physical appearance aside, here's what I look for in a man:

    -Must respect women
    -Open minded
    -Not a flirt/womaniser
-Understanding or at least try to understand me
-LOYAL to me and me ONLY
    -Honest
-Has a certain passion or career goals in his life
    -Caring
-Basically a nice and kind human being

When it comes to generic looks I like dark brown hair, any colour of eyes other than grey or blue, average height - not too tall or too small, average weight and all that jazz but when it comes to actually finding someone you click with, a lot of the time they don't have the characteristics you would generally look for and that's OK because its the spark you have together and their personality that mean more than how they look. Personality wise I love guys who love cats and are animal lovers in general, a good sense of humour and can take a joke and isn't easily offended, intelligent but not arrogant about it and generally just caring and loyal.

For first look, maybe the eyes. As we know its the windows of one's soul. It's the eyes that usually captures me. Then, next would be the character of the person.
