    Hi all,

I have an interview tomorrow for a mainframe operation support job. I am into IT,hence I applied for it but what exactly is a mainframe? I have googled but every post says something else.

Am I right that a mainframe server is a big host that stores all the applications for users. The way users access the server is via a terminal that does nothing apart from load the apps/software from the mainframe? Is it similar to the way in which Thin Client PC works?

Please help, I am so confuzzled.

Do you agree with the PM's proposal to cut tuition fees for some courses?
