Greenwich OR Royal Holloway?

Hey
I wanna study Software Engineering at uni, and am not sure which uni to choose ...
Having been to the Royal Holloway Campus, whichI quite like I still feel the lack of socialising and am a bit concern about the area. ( there are no shops around) Also there is quite a long walk from Egham Station to Royal Holloway Campus. However I liked the tachers there.
On the other hand since Greenwich is the in the city of london, the problem of socialising does not occur. I quite like the bulduing as well and the course modules are also interesting.
In tersm of Software Engineering ranking, they are both roughly the same..
Can anyone pls give me advice on what would be more suitable

thanks

Hey Sam,

Glad to hear that you are considering Royal Holloway. Worth noting that we run a bus service from the train station to campus, which is perfect for when you don't fancy the walk. There is also a shortcut to walk to campus, which you may not have been aware of when you visited, cutting the walk down to 15 mins.

Give me a shout if you have any questions about Royal Holloway!

I'm gonna help you out here with the inside know how. I am a current student at Greenwich, however, won't lie, Royal Holloway was, and still is, my dream university. I don't know how things go in RHUL, but with Greenwich, although it is a beautiful campus, accommodation is s**t, the rooms are okay, but if you study on Greenwich, you still have a high chance of being at Avery, which takes 40 minutes on the inter campus bus, it made me late so many times in my first year and god knows how many taxis I had to get, London taxis are expensive! As for the night life/socialising, you'd probably find you have to go into central for a decent time, so you'd be travelling for that anyway, I still reminisce in the idea of going to RHUL, so if I were you, I'd definitely pick them! Hope this was helpful, also hope my uni doesn't find this and kill me.
Have fun at freshers!!

Thank you soo much xD
Yes it was vey helpful
I'm also finding it hard to decide between RHUL and Greenwich, except I want to study either Criminology and Psychology in RHUL or Criminology and Criminal Psychology in Greenwich. So I'm trying to decide, which is better since I want an open path in both criminology and psychology. What are the differences in their accreditation and will they be useful to me in another country? Also I would like to know if it is possible to stay at chosen accomodation for all of the three years or at least two of them? Hope for a fast reply as I have about a week to choose my first and second choice between them. Want to be a September starter

RH is the better university. And Surrey is even better if they are the same distance.

Hey can you please tell if there are any part time jobs available in egham or near egham? I’ll be applying at RHUL, so i need to know this so that can i take out my expenses for accommodation.
