So I did 2 years of psychology at Coventry uni and had my student finance for those years but then I recently left the course due to personal family reasons. So I've basically been on a gap year this year.
I'm looking to go back and finish the psychology degree I started but I won't be able to at Coventry so I've asked around at some local unis (bcu and Wolverhampton). If I'm allowed to return and finish the degree will I still be able to receive student finance for the last year? Will I have to start a new application for it or? Idk how it works or if I'll be allowed to apply for it etc

    Hi eyeshar14

If you are going back into year 3, you will be eligible for funding to complete this.
You will need to complete an application to let us know you will require funding. Also if Coventry can send us a transfer to let us know what university you are going to (or the new university sends us a transfer) you can maintain the same level of funding.
If they withdraw you, you will need to apply as a brand new student and will be able to apply for the maintenance loan and tuition fee loan only.

    Thanks

So I emailed a couple unis and they say that I can start from second year..
I know student finance provides 4 years funding for 3 year courses, the one extra there if you get held back a year. So does that mean if I start from the beginning of second year again I'll be eligible for 2 more years of funding?
