    Hi
My dad bought me a second hand dell notebook. However the previous owner got rid of Windows and it is now running with Ubuntu.
However I would like to get Windows back so I have ordered a new installation disc. I think I have a rough idea of what to do from a Google search, however I have one question
Will all the files I have saved (I've had it for quite a while but only just decided to get Windows) be transferred when I boot it with Windows and remove Ubuntu? Or do you recommend me backing up all my files beforehand?

    Thanks

Definitely back up - even if files are saved, for safety's sake it's best

Definetely backup all your files on to a USB becuase you technically are peforming a factory restore on the system so nothing will remain as the OS has been replaced.

You might like to invest an external harddrive - they can be quite useful generally if you like watching movies and stuff :3
