Not hot enough to burn while drinking, but pretty warm with instant hot choc I put a mug of milk in the microwave for about 60-70 secs and add the powder to that, and can usually drink it straight away

As hot as it can be while still able to drink it.

Coffee shop warm, not homemade warm.
You can drink a hot choc straight away from a shop but I end up waiting for at least 10 mins before I can touch it at home.

    Gently warm ^-^

I only have hot chocolate if it's with milk - never water. Having the milk warmer than described will make it have that disgusting skin on top :coma: But having it cooler won't dissolve the powder, and so you'll be left with lumps of powder...

I don't drink hot chocolate more than once every few years but when I do I have it however whichever friend is insisting I try it suggests I should have it.

It can't be lukewarm for me. Hot enough to melt the cream and the mix, and to still be warm if I let it sit while busy :yy:
