Analyse the extent to which standard reduction potentials may predict the extent of corrosion in an industrial context and/or the likelihood of a reaction occurring may result in inaccurate predictions for the following scenarios:
i. A process that takes place in an acidic environment. For eg; the contact process
ii. A process which has high concentration of reactions in the reaction vessel.
iii. A process that occurs in an environment with a high salt content.
iv. A process that occurs at high temperature. For eg; the Haber process, electrolysis of alumina and the contact process.
Thanks for your help in advance!
