I also want him to win. Not because I agree with his politics, but because I wanna see the melodramatic whiners on the left's heads implode. I'm hoping for a hipster/SJW/champaign socialist mass suicide. Now that really would make America great again.

And based on Bernie's current numbers, it's either gonna be Trump or a woman president, and no-one wants that.

I would say that he will probably do something about the perceived problems in the short term, but he will only serve to exacerbate them in the long term with his attitudes.

In the US, the President has so little real power. If Trump did take the Oval Office, he could do very little legislative damage but at the same time he'd be a proper laugh, and get people to engage in politics maybe for the first time in their lives.

I see only benefits and no negatives.

I don't think he will solve any of our problems, nobody will. But at least he would be entertaining, and probably won't do anywhere near as much damage as somebody like Hillary Clinton. Plus him becoming president will royally piss off both the progressive SJWs on the left and the cowardly cuckservatives on the right, which is something I'm more than in favour of.

So yes, bring on the Trumpocalypse!

If it emasculates and leads to the mass suicide of trump supporters then sure, why not? It could be a good thing.

How will he not solve the problems? He is determined to stop illegal immigrants flooding in from Mexico, and he's prioritising having safety over having multiculturalism.

For me, i don't really believe presidents have any real power to change anything but I would like trump as the president though. The guys speaks his mind without caring what others have to say about it. The guy really doesn't care, and for that I like and respect. Yeah, some words he says are offensive and uncalled for but at least he is not afraid to admit his real feelings and try to sell you his opinion to gain other's approval. Who would you rather have a president?

The guy who pretends he has no opinion on anything and lives in fear of what others will say or the guy that juts flat out let's you know his real feelings? You have to admit the guy has some view points on some topics.

But my question is will he be a good diplomat? I'm not against Trump but politics isn't necessarily about speaking your mind.

Are you being deliberately stupid? Trump has the LEAST POLITICAL EXPERIENCE of any of the candidates, the fact that he speaks his mind is damaging and would destroy the USA's reputation on the world stage.

The number of illegal immigrants in the US has actually been declining for a few years now. This doesn't mean none are coming in, but less are than the numbers who are dying or leaving. Plus Trump, as usual on the right, doesn't understand the phenomenon - most illegal immigrants in the US get in legally and overstay visas, not cross the border illegally. As such, Trump's proposed wall (which he can't build anyway without first cancelling NAFTA and getting full congressional approval) wouldn't even make that much difference.

Trump is mainly talking about criminal Mexicans, and they wouldn't be able to get a visa to the USA, the only way they'd get in is sneaking across the border. He's said that he would do more to get rid of all the immgirants that are staying there illegally, which the current government really isn't bothering about

    He hasn't a clue what he's doing.

It's a close race but there are more Democrats in the U.S. than Republicans, statistically. So even if he has robust supporters, the numbers might not be there for him as the official Republican candidate, or as the American President.
