New on this forum so i thought i may as well ask, How do you politically identify yourself?

I am a One Nation/Compassionate Conservative, Economically Neo-Liberal, Eurosceptic with some Monetarist leanings
One of my best mates calls me a Burkean socialist. I'd say I'm broadly a democratic socialist who believes in capitalistic exemptions. I am patriotic and I believe in a strong military and well-funded intelligence services; I believe the nuclear deterrent is vital to the country's defence and to its standing in the world.

I believe the means of production should be publicly owned, but that at present private industry is better placed to deliver many services and goods, and so they are permitted a capitalistic exemption from my general principal of public ownership. Utilities like electricity, water, rail transportation should be in public ownership.

I believe that the City of London's position as the leading financial centre in the world (it trades three times as much in foreign currency each day compared to New York, and five times as much in derivatives and international reinsurance contracts) is of benefit to the country generally, and so it should be permitted to do business as a capitalistic enclave and free market zone. A kind of money-generating city state and that it shall pay each year a tribute to the exchequer for this privilge but otherwise be left alone.

I support the continued existence of the House of Lords but on a merit basis only; there shall be no hereditary peers in the House of Lords except for two (the Earl Marshal and the Lord Great Chamberlain) and their membership shall be considered akin to a form of minority representation like the two reserved seats in the Indian parliament for the Anglo-Indian minority. Other than that, Lords shall have a seat in the upper house on the basis of their accomplishments.

Public schools can be socially beneficial, however they would be required to have 25% of their students on a full scholarship and from poor backgrounds. Also, I would set up a group of selective, elite state schools that shall be as well funded as public schools are and would be the breeding grounds for the future ruling class, but based purely on merit with entrance by examination

Broadly, I think I like to keep the best of both worlds, the socialist and the capitalistic

I sexually Identify as an Attack Helicopter.

Ever since I was a boy I dreamed of soaring over the oilfields dropping hot sticky loads on disgusting foreigners. People say to me that "a person being a helicopter is Impossible and I’m ****ing retarded" but I don’t care, I’m beautiful. I’m having a plastic surgeon install rotary blades, 30 mm cannons and AMG-114 Hellfire missiles on my body. From now on I want you guys to call me “Apache” and respect my right to kill from above and kill needlessly. If you can’t accept me you’re a heliphobe and need to check your vehicle privilege. Thank you for being so understanding.

pretty much both - I don't necessarily see a conflict between the two

There is no conflict but Randians are necessarily moral objectivists, moral objectivist libertarians area not necessarily Randians.

I mean technically you might be able to see that rand's objectivism could be justified on consequentialist grounds (selfishness not simply for selfishness's sake, or it as a principle, but for a matter of its outcomes), but yeah
