    Hi there,

    I am in Cambridge for the day and was looking for some ideas on what to do (I am with some friends).

    Aside from visiting some of the colleges and going punting (if it's not too cold), does anyone have any suggestions?

    We were also thinking of going to see one of the choirs in the evening on Saturday. I noticed on the King's Chapel site there is an Evensong performance around 5 and a recital an hour later, what is the difference between the two exactly?

    Many thanks!

    Evensong is not a "performance," it is a church service with standard liturgy and a variety of church music. A recital is like a mini-concert, usually with only a few performers, but may have a wider range of music.

    * Fitzwilliam Museum
    * Just have a wander along the Backs.

    * A chelsea bun (or more) in Fitzbillies cafe
    * The market
