I have to do an essay on comparing the ways poets present ideas of power in ozymandias and London what ways do they do this
And I also need help in the structure of London

yeah me too but I have no idea where to start

The easiest thing to talk about in Ozymandias is the idea of time controlling power (if you want to go for higher level). If you look through the sonnet, you can find several ideas linked to this point and then all you do is explain. London you can talk about Power system in relation to hierarchy and how it is portrayed. Look specifically at historical references and society at the time. How the country was run etc. A good way to compare poems would be to do paragraphs relating to one point. So paragraph 1 would be about the form they are written in and what they depicts about them e.g. Ozymandias = sonnet = written for self love. Second paragraph could be about the structure they follow and how that portrays power. Third could be about the imagery in both poems and how that portrays power. There are many ideas throughout the poems and all you need to do is explain them in terms of power.

Both are about rich people in society which is good place to start, both poems give a melancholy vibe and show the contrast between the rich and poor.
