Edexcel Art GCSE exam

Anyone doing the Past, present and/or future exam? If so do you know how to get high marks for it?
Write loads and loads, analyse and record everything you do in writing and also lots of stuff about other artists. Show definite progression so start off with only a vague idea of what you're doing then experiment and explore different styles before specialising. Also try do something 'different' artists love that.
I'm doing this project (just got it a few days go)it seems interesting. Have you got any ideas yet? The project I did previously (newspeak) I got a A so before I handed it in I took pics of it so I'll use it as reference for this project:h:

Basically top tips:

A01:
Have artist presentations - most checklists say just 2 but I did 4
Have contextual and cultural knowledge so just write the dates of the painting etc. and also talk about messages behind paintings
Have secondary and primary photographs- your own, computer, newspaper, magazine

A02:
Experiment with a whole lot of media!!!!!- Paint, pencil, chalk etc.
Mix the media together eg. paint and chalk on one drawing
Recognise the potential of materials eg. use pencil but then explore pencil techniques cross hatching etc.
Refine ideas- do enlargements etc

A03:
Record your ideas in the form of sketches not everything has to be perfect!!! they want to see this.
Do observational studies a lot they like that
Don't just have one idea have like three diff ideas then develop each idea by like changing composition, changing colours
Always annotate your work using key art terminology suggest improvements

A04:
Have finished pieces of work in your book
Your ideas must relate to project

Overall I got good grade because my quality was good (i'm naturally good at art but that mostly counts for A04 , even if u suck and you do everything above you can get a good grade). Also I just did a lot of extra work you don't really need to follow checklist all the way you can use extra pages - I did what I want
