Have you tried poking it with a stick?
I think I have something like that, only it seems to rear its ugly head when I eat particular foods such as tomatoes for some strange reason, which could suggest a mild allergy perhaps, or I wonder if it's some kind of gland... it's not painful or anything, just plain weird.

Yeah mine isn't painful either! It just feels funny whenever I do poke it - but not with a stick 3232 :p:
I get that when I eat pineapples..I don't think it's anything to worry about.

If it is an allergy thing then I have no idea what's causing it!

 or maybe a sharp metal object?
I think abscesses are supposed to be very painful arn't they? It's not a gland (or duct of a gland) anyway. Could be an ulcer?
Could be due to acids in any food you eat.

Hmmm. 'Tis very odd. When I go to the dentist I'll tell you all exactly what it is :P
I've had that for about 2 weeks now. it doesn't hurt at all, and its just a bump on the roof of my mouth. I've been using pyravex (i think thats what it's called) but it doesn't seem to be getting rid of it. i have a dentist appointment in 2 weeks so I'll mention it to my dentist if i still have it then.
