I've never found spelling [long] words to be that difficult a task, but there are certain words that will always throw me off.

I think the two examples that spring to mind for me, are:

    Narcissistic
    Privilege

I constantly have to sound Narcissistic out very slowly to spell it... it's a goddamn mouthful.

Yes this is what I want to discuss on a Friday night okay?

I don't disagree. I intend to learn Irish at some point which has its own obstacles to overcome

Irish appears to be much more challenging than Welsh is, apart from the silly mutation rules that is.

Every language has its challenges I understand. I can count to 20 and know a few choice phrases but that's about it.

Some of the welsh words make me giggle.

When I saw that 'bay' was 'bae' (this was around the time ''bae'' was being used by everyone) I giggled a lot.
    And taxi is like taksi

Not really English words, but my God. Learning to spell Latin words for various species of invertebrate and seaweed earlier for an exam was definitely the worst form of torture. I think I spelled about 90% of the Latin words wrong, genuinely.
