Do you mean an undergraduate MEng? It might be possible to transfer into the third year of a MEng degree, but it would depend on what you studied in your FdEng and whether a university thinks you're suitably prepared for the third year of their degree. Make a list of universities you're interested in and start comparing their modules with your own. If you think they're similar, email the uni and ask whether they consider transfers. If you can't find anywhere, look for a BEng top-up degree and then do a postgraduate MEng afterwards.

Obviously you can't do postgraduate MEng with a FdEng. Why would you even ask that?

A FdEng is not a BEng, your analogy makes no sense. I'm not going to debate this with you; it's a fact of life, you need an undergraduate degree before you can do a postgraduate master's.

OP what is it you want to do? Be more specific in your question.

In the UK MEng is an undergraduate degree and you can apply to it with various qualifications.
