Hi, I'm currently looking at university courses (probably for business bc I don't think I'm going to get on to a Biochemistry course😬) but most of them say "GCSE English (Language) at B or equivalent.

I only got a C in my English language GCSE (one off a B how annoying?) but I got a B in all of my other written/ essay type GCSEs. I was wondering whether or not I'd have to resit my English language again (which I don't want to do bc I've forgotten everything about English language and I'm at a new sixth form)

The equivalent applies to applicants who didn't take GCSEs (Scottish, international etc). It doesn't mean a B in another GCSE counts.

with only one mark off a B, it would be worth contacting admissions at the uni you want to study at with your scores and letting them know you were 1 mark off a B. They might let you in
