Who is choosing/chose classics for GCSE? If so, why? If not, why not? What board? What did you study? What did you get? What did you do? Did you continue with it? What else did you do? Was the exam hard? Were the lessons fun?

I am doing both Greek and Latin and sitting the OCR exams in a couple of months. Greek is definitely harder than latin, you look at it like its some sort of alien language unless you've learnt it thoroughly. Also in greek practically every single verb is irregular so thats fun. Unless you actually want to study classics at uni, don't take greek. I am taking Latin to A-level though i love it.
Greek - lessons were fun at first learning the alphabet and just reading things but grammar and literature soon overwhelm you. love the class purely because i have 5 other people there with me and we're all in the same boat so we've become friends. the exam itself is not that hard, the learning part is though.
Latin - grammar is not too bad, you can always understand the jist of the text even if you haven't revised. exams are fairly easy. still a large volume of literature but overall worth it.
