Student Identification Number

Hi everyone.

Im trying to apply for accomodation at Birmingham University, but its asking me for a student identification number, which i have never heard of.

Ive checked all my ucas statements & letters, but cant find the "6 digit" ID code required.

It says that they sent it through the post, but i really cant remember them sending me an ID code in specific, i would have secured it in a safe place otherwise..

Any help would be good.

When I got my offer, I got an offer letter from UCAS and from the University - the student ID number is printed at the top of the one from the University.

If you're applying online, try putting in your other details (name, dob, ucas no). I used the paper application but my friend did it online and it came up automatically with her student ID. Failing that, you'll have to e-mail or phone your department or, probably better, student registry. Not housing services because they probably won't know!

What are you going to be studying?

I didnt put my student ID number on my paper application as i forgot i had one..
It said "Student ID (If Known)"...and i thought i didnt know so i left it blank, to which i later saw it in a corner of a letter..doh!
Anyways i got confirmation of my accomadation application with no problems, im sure the people at the Birmingham will know when it comes through and probably fill in your Student ID for you.

You should email the admission office and give them you Personal Details and Ucas application number. They will give you your Student ID.

I did it like this and I got mine.

Hope this helps.
