What is your opinion on prom? Personally, I think it is a waste of money, I can spend time with my friends during the summer, and not have to spend it with people who I don't really care about and would probably never see again. And apparently its boring as.

    What do you think?

Personally I really enjoyed my prom - I dressed up with all my friends and boyfriend and spent the day posing for far too many photos, dancing and eating great food. Although I see how the event could be a waste of time and how some may not enjoy it I found it to be worth the money I spent on it. If not for the memories then to see all the teachers at your prom inevitably get drunk

I personally felt like prom was a waste of time and money too, so I didn't go. I never had any close friends in high school, and I didn't like many of my classmates anyway, so I didn't want to spend any more time with them than I had to. Plus, I wasn't (and I'm still not) into dressing up and partying, so it wasn't really my thing anyway

School didn't allow me to go to prom. I took my A levels a year early, so I finished in Year 12, but "policy" was that prom was only for Y13 leavers. But I heard it was an awesome night, followed by some epic parties.

Then again, the Jumeirah folks always had epic parties. Although some of them were too rich for their own good. As in, lunchtime at school conversations along the lines of "Hey, do you guys want to go to Thailand for a long weekend? I'll call daddy's pilot" rich.

Not that I was ever invited to either of the above, I was far too poor to be one of the cool kids :P
