Would you still be friends with the person you rejected? watch

this happened to me and now he's basically my best friend; we just kinda get each other

he hasn't tried asking me out again, as he says, 'when you ask someone to be your girl/boyfriend, it's kinda like asking someone to borrow a pen: if they say no the first time, there's not much point asking and asking over and over, because it's just kind of awkward and they'll either end up saying no and never speaking to you because it's weird between you two, or they'll give in because you wore them down (not because they want to)'

*shrug* not everyone is the same though

Yes, I would. Imo the only person who has a decent reason not to "want to stay friends" is the person who was rejected. And only because it's gonna be probably easier for them to move on.

If the rejected keeps trying, it's another story though.
