    Would you be perturbed if a doctor or a pharmacist turned out to be promiscuous or did extra maritals? I Just like the idea of professionals retaining that morality outside the workplace and not just in it; basically doing everything possible to present ones profession in the best possible light.

    Depends on what type of "immoral" acts you're concerned about. I personally don't give a **** about a doctor's private life as long as his/her medical ethics are alright.

    That is fascistic and denies their personhood. Why should their profession get free advertising through the impression of good character? We need to dedicate ourselves less to, and define ourselves less by, our careers.

    Personal integrity is crucial in any profession but monogamy is a social construct and hence the moral relativism of the premise is contentious

    It doesnt affect their ability as a doctor in any way.
