Did you face discrimination in that country? Did you seek comradeship with the Brit community abroad? Middle East has a lot of our boys, as does Thailand Aus, Florida...Were you a hard working migrant?

When I was in Egypt, I had a friend from the UK who was a student. He was always, well, teased in the streets by random people, but nothing hateful. People would come up to him and talk in English saying funny things, it was fun and he liked it for the most part, he even made friends pretty quickly. I don't think being English is a disadvantage anywhere as long as you speak the language, especially in Europe.
