Can i get into good uni with these grades-russell group watch

    Predicted to get ABBE this year and will drop the subject with an E and i reckon i can get AAB at end of A2 but with that E will i be at a huge disadvantage applying for the top unis to do a course such as economics considering the E is in further maths?btw i maybe able to get a D in it but i am finding it too hard but i am predicted an A in maths soo whats my chances of getting into the top unis

    Just remember that life isn't 'Russel Group or bust'. There are some great unis that aren't in RG, and the important thing is for you to go somewhere that you'll be the happiest at.

    If you want to do something like Economics (BSc) then perhaps you're better off studying Statistics rather than Mechanics in Further Maths. If you're looking at BA Economics then maybe less so.

    I think most top 30 universities will look poorly on an economics applicant with an E in further maths, since that is such a vital subject, so I wouldn't rate your chances for economics with ABBE (or even AABD) very highly (although it wouldn't be impossible to get a plcae). On the other hand, if you apply for a subject like history or politics, where further maths is irrelevant, you have a decent chance of getting several offers.
