I am really saddened to hear that Frank Kelly (Father Jack Hackett) has died at aged 77 his death came exactly 18 years on the day since the sudden death of Dermot Morgan. He was a brilliant actor, not just in Father Ted but in other TV shows and movies. From interviews I have watched, he also seemed like a very nice and down to Earth guy too.

I am a big fan of Father Ted. I have watched it ever since I was a kid and even now, I still watch it most nights before going to bed on my phone so I dread to think how many times I have seen each episode well into the hundreds probably I've also met Ardal O'Hanlon (Dougal) twice.

So in memory of him, post your favourite Father Jack moments or any of your favourite moments from the show in general

I think my overall favourite episode is either The Mainland or Speed 3. One of my favourite Father Jack scenes is the "I'm a happy camper!" line and who could forget "that would be an ecumenical matter!" so many good scenes to remember the show by

Speed 3 is brilliant. But personal favourite: Christmas special, where Dougal leaves Jack in the shopping centre's play area with a pile of kids. Jack casually sits there and starts spelling his favourite words out with the blocks.

It really took the piss out of something that sorely needed the piss taking out of it. Ireland is still in a mess due to religion. Father Ted needed making.

My mum'c childhood was swamped under the oppressive dross of Christianity in the form of Catholicism and she loved/loves Father Ted.

Hopefully one day some Muslims will grow up and make a comedy about their stupid religion they were brought up in. We all benefit when religion has the piss taken out of it.

Some none-father ted related Anti-Muslim stand up. He makes fun of some Imams :rofl3:

You're right. It was made at a time when divorce was only becoming legal in Ireland. I'm Irish, Catholic, and I absolutely adore Father Ted.
