I was wondering whether anyone who goes to warwick uni could tell me whats on offer in terms of nightlife, and your own opinions etc? Also, how did u feel about not having a dedicated freshers week???

Nightly events in the SU / Pub - Pub quiz, kareoke, club night with school theme (i.e. fancy dress), club night with godawful music (i.e. 200 people singing Mr Brightside etc.) is the most popular night.

In addition to that there are a couple of restaurants on campus for a quiet night out.

If none of the above is up your alley, you can get a bus ticket + club entrance for Neon in Leam or Kasbah in Cov for like £10 for more mainstream clubbing.

Plus parties around campus ... some accom is partier than others (Rootes, AV, vs. Heronbank, Lakeside e.g.)

R.e. no freshers week - don't sweat it, it's as messy as any other uni's first 2 weeks (i've been to quite a few :P )

Oh also, if you're a member of a sport club or society they frequently 'circle' (predrinks and party games) before nights out

    All the best xo

In terms of freshers week it depends on your department because in Sociology they give you a lecture and seminar free first week so it was just like any other uni. Also, the su are working hard to make this year the first proper freshers week. We also have two weeks of freshers which makes up for it too.

Nightlife depends what you're into I'd say the typical timetable is this:
    Monday: Kasbah
    Tuesday: Smack
    Wednesday: Pop
    Thursday: Smack
    Friday: Neon
    Saturday: Birmingham night out

There's also one off events like BootsNCats, Toast, Hospitality, Pon De Floor- I've never had a boring night so yeah don't threat it. Think more about academics in your choice and social will come with it.
