Hi all need to resit GCSEs - starting an access course this coming September. Prefer to get them done before I start but I'd like to know my options, not too sure at the minute how I go about it.

I need to resit 3 GCSEs and I have English language & Business already.

Possibly a stupid sounding question but how can you resit your gcses? I tried to look this up the other day and couldn't find anything, and I worry I might not get good gcse results this year due to several mental health related struggles

If you took them after 2010 then you can carry forward the controlled assessment. If you want to take GCSEs that don't have controlled assessment then the choice includes (I think) Maths, RE, Psychology, Law, Sociology and Economics..

I just need three more to get access to more Unis, the college that I'm doing my access course in does GCSE equiv English & Maths for free for all students that don't have it.

I'll post my GCSE results, could you advise me what to do/which GCSEs to resit?

    Really appreciate it.

(I know my results were terrible, I was not as motivated to study as I am now)

I'm also thinking of catching up GCSEs and maybe doing some A-level work in the meantime until September (As I don't start my access course until then)
    Is this a good idea?
