Upper sixth leaving..im soo sad

Hey guys, just thought i'd share my feelings, im in lower 6th(yr12) and i have so many frends in yr13 and now their leaving, and i dont know what im gonna do because even though i didnt know them long i've become so close to some of them :frown: And theres this guy..and Ive just fallen for him so bad and I guess it was just too little too late, I know we never stood a chance because he has a girl and I really don't think he would fancy me, but he was soo nice, like when I was upset he used to come up to me and ask me if I was ok, he knew before my own friends! And argggh I don't know! Im so sick of people leaving my life. Anyone had any experience in these issues?

And good luck to all the ppl taking exams! xx

Hello,

Maybe this should have been posted in the health + relationships forum? Although if he has a gf and he is happy with her then there aint much you can do anyway.

But I guess an unfortunate thing is that people will always leave your life because in todays society people move around, get new jobs, and generally have a nomadic life style.

Don't let it upset you too much. Oh welcome to :tsr2: btw.

I'm really sorry to hear that, and I know exactly what you mean- I'm in Year 11, and all but one of my friends are leaving to go to a college nearby. There's nothing to say you can't stay in touch though, especially considering that you're older and will be able to see each other outside of sixth form more easily.

Perhaps give the ones who mean a lot to you a little present each- like a small box of chocolates and/or a card, then write your mobile number/msn address in there. I'm sure they'll want to stay in touch! :hugs:

:ditto: That's a good idea, and they'll really appreciate it.

Ahhh I know your all right, I wasnt even that good friends with him actually, but hes just the sort of guy that talks to everyone and hes so friendly. And the thing with me is that when i like someone i like them for ages! lolz, and the guy i previously liked from yr11 left me and he was a complete playa who broke my heart and this guy who i like now, made me realise how I should be treated and he helped me get over him in a way.
Doesnt it just annoy you how u dont like the people in your own year!? My year is so secluded and everyone has their own cliques and no one talks to anyone apart from me making an effort!
I hate change!! And also exams! Completely failed Critical Thinking today!

OP i feel the same way. I'm just finishing my placement year and all of my uni friends are leaving for home this week.. They've all got their lives planned out from here and are going onto the next stage of their lives. I initially got mad with myself for doing a placement year whilst all of my friends sat their finals, it never really occured to me how gutting it would be to see everyone disappear when I still had a year to go. My best friend leaves on Monday and she's moving to Canada. She's been my closest friend in the world for 3 years and I'm just going to feel totally lost when she goes, and I'm preparing myself for the fact that I am pretty much going to spend the summer on my tod!

Of course I'll make new friends - but these people have played a huge role in the best years of my life and i'm going to miss them terribly. I've said goodbye to a mate pretty much every day the last couple of weeks and it doesn't get any easier.

PM me if you feel like ranting!

i hated 6 form everyone made fun of me beacuse i dont have sex, drink or smoke. so coming to uni is like a new beginning.

in about a year you'll find the very best of your old mates are the oly ones you still see. you also will see everyone when you get your results and at the prom

People come and go all the time. That's life. You'll always meet new people. Don't worry about it.

yeh but what if when u meet new people u always end up comparing them to the old people, i mean everyones one of a kind, i never gonna meet ppl like that, its a cruel world out there lol. But if they really mean something to u then I guess u keep in touch with them dont u? I know it sounds weird but sometimes I hate having feelings..

Um... school is more of a cruel world actually. It's not like you've experienced both...

I prefer a world where drawing cocks on eachothers shirt (leavers day) isn't the only form of comedy.

I had the same thing last year in Year 12, really liked a guy in Year 13 who left, thought I'd never see him again, and I had never ever spoken to him...but after he left he added me on myspace and we became friends lol! Not seen him since he left but we still talk so you never know, he might stay in touch!

I'm gutted bout leaving sixth form...the people...all the people I didn't get to know...the place in general. Gonna miss the years below who've already left, probably not gonna see them again which is rubbish!

I actually quite like moving place to place and meeting new people because it is refreshing to meet new people all the time and make new friends. It also teaches you alot about yourself having to make mates with people you didnt grow up with!

Oh and I know what you mean with the guy. I have been like that with loads of girls... problem is I normally tell them and then they end up distancing themselves from me... such is life...

My favourite game was going through my German text book every lesson and seeing how many cocks people had drawn. I think I got to 43 once. What is it with German text books and cocks? Maybe it was just my school :-)

Do you think they were trying to tell you something?

Quite possibley! Though tbh when every text book the school has is full of them i am guessing it was just the immaturity that incures when you forcefully put a group of 2000 lads together.

Then again... could have been personal

Ah, all boys school? It was clearly a sign of sexual tension, they wanted you.

Hehe. I protest. Not all people in all boys schools turn out gay! Just a sizable minority.
