hi there , the title says it all.

He's only 18 and since starting Uni he gets nervous a lot. I don't mind, I'm usually there for him, but lately I've been wondering if he might need some other help?
Maybe a counsellor or something? He asks to come over a lot sometimes a night when he's nervous and although I do want to help, sometimes I think it would be best if he just delt with it on his own? but I'm really not sure what to do? He says talking to me helps calm him down, but yeh i'm not sure what I can really do?

Yes, I'd strongly advise that you tell him to seek professional help, you can still be there for him but often with anxiety, you go round in circles and it sounds like he's stuck in a rut where he's becoming dependent on you to help him temporarily when he really needs to speak to someone who can actually help him et past this, also with him constantly having to rely on you, your friendship could become strained and you need to be able to live your own life too.
