I've seen a particular hairstyle I like a couple times in an advert and I can't track it down. I can't remember the advert or find it online, it was a guy and his wife and the guy had facial hair, glasses and brown hair... Yeah, pretty non-helpful.

The style has a long fringe of sorts which is parted in the middle and goes down to about the chin, but the hair is cut pretty short, less than an inch around the back and sides. The long fringe works its way shorter as it gets towards the back of the head when looking at it from a side profile.

Any help please aha? I really can't find the advert for love nor money, I've been through all the adverts I can find for this year, it must be new.

    Thanks

You don't have to call a hairstyle anything like specific, you mean like a fade with the fringe parted into curtains?

I do have to call it something really, because I want to find pictures of what I like rather than just try and explain to the barber the image in my head and probably mess up my hair that's taken so long to grow.

It's not really a fade at-all, the length of the fringe "fades" into a more normal length as the hair goes back, and the fringe is sort of parted into curtains. Imagine Snape with a short back and sides, if you will.
