    Hi

I've received an offer from Sunderland to study the above, starting September 2016.

Is anyone studying this course and could tell me what they think of it?

Also, I'm a mature student with a child. I'm wondering how many days/hours per week I would be in uni? Just to get an idea for childcare

    Thanks 😊

    Hello

When I studied Business and HR as a masters part time it was 6 hours of lectures per week plus independent study. Full time would have been 12.

Based on other undergrad business degrees I think the first year will be approx 12 hours of lectures/ contact time and this will drop over the three years i.e. 8 in 2nd and 6 in 3rd.

A rule of thumb for unis is that you should be should be studying in total for 25-30 hours per week. Some of this will at uni in the library and some at home.

If I was you I would call the uni and ask them if you can see an example time table for your course and see how the lecturers fall then ask them for their opinion on study time and you can start to make your arrangements.

Go to page 7 and look at the matrix - it shows you the assessment methods too. Group work is standard in business degrees and it always take a little longer because you have to work around everyone else.

In terms of the course - it is CIPD accredited which is the most important thing, especially for future employment.

    Does this help at all?

Hannah thank you very much! That's so helpful. I've emailed the uni and asked for an example timetable. I will also check out that link 😃
