Im not really sure where to put this, so sorry if it's in the wrong place! After thinking about it for a while, I have decided to stop doing A levels (I am in the 1st year) my sixth form and parents all agree this is the best decision for me as A levels just aren't the best thing for me. I have applied for a business college Betec at a college, I will start this in September. This seems like a good course and will be much better for me compared to sixth form. Please do not tell me I should stick with A levels, I have made my mind up and this is the best for me The thing is - at sixth form I am currently doing geography, sociology and English language.. All these subjects are linear which means I can not get AS levels in them (I would have to do the whole 2 years). Therefore there is no point in me carrying on and finishing the first year as I get nothing out of it!My question is - what can I do from now to September as legally I have to be in education (im 17, I turn 18 in December) I cannot find any short term apprentiships which would finish before September.I have a job which I could do full time - would this count as education? Being im full time work? I really need to find something to do before September! Can someone let me know what the laws are and what counts as full time education? thanks in advance!!
