I graduated two years ago with an honours degree in English Literature but I have my heart set on teaching primary age children. I've looked into the schools direct programme but can't seem to find a lot of information on it (other than how to apply.)

Can anyone who has already done it please shed some light? How many schools were you required to be in? How many hours a week did you train ? What was expected of you ? Did you have assignments to do ? etc...
I'd be very grateful for your help!!

You could go to a Train to Teach event, I went to one last week that was really helpful! Also there's a SD thread on here with lots of info :-)

    Also the https://getintoteaching.education.go...ng?return=true
training provider events as they will talk about their own schools direct/SCITT/Uni training programmes and will probably have a current / past student there.
All the schools direct programmes are organised by the schools themselves so they will be different from each other. Good luck.

Do you agree with the PM's proposal to cut tuition fees for some courses?
