This is the guidance it gives for this question:

If you don’t live with any of your parents, but they support you financially, select the parent(s) you have most contact with. Only select 'Neither parent' if:
    • you don't live with or have any contact with either of your parents, or
    • you've supported yourself financially for a total of three years or more before the start of the first year of your course

I'm 20 and live with my boyfriend, and my Dad sends me £10 a month, so I don't know which option to pick. I don't remember having this problem last year, so I don't know if the advice was worded differently or something.

It doesn't sound like either of the "Neither parent" options fits your situation unless you've supported yourself for three years before the start of your course. £10 a month can't be construed as "supporting you financially", so you probably just need to decide whether you have more contact with your Mum or your Dad. Whoever you decide, it will be their household income on which your entitlement to SF is assessed.

Usual health warning: Only SF themselves will be able to give you a definitive answer. You can phone them or there's a sub-forum in this section "Ask Student Finance" and their rep will answer.

You just select the parent you have the most contact with, as it says.
