Can't seem to improve grade on OCR Gothic extract AS, am studying Bloody Chamber. Any help, advice would be grateful please.

Have you tried reading the study guides online, on places like litcharts, shmoop and spark notes?

Understand the text, finding it hard applying it to an unseen extract and hitting all the AO's. Thanks.

Try and pick out the key quotes for each theme and learn them - they'll be the ones you apply to unseen extracts Make sure you link the quotes to the unseen extract by technique as well as theme.

I haven't studied the text and I do AQA rather than OCR, so you'll have to see if anyone else knows more specific information
