When finding Km and Vmax, why is the single reciprocal plot (Eadie plot) preferred to the double reciprocal (Lineweaver-Burk) plot?
The only reason I can think is that you end up with 1/v= km/Vmax(1/[S]) + 1/Vmax with the double reciprocal and [S]/v=1/Vmax([S]) + Km/Vmax for the single. Both Km and Vmax are dividing so it is slightly harder to work out the values?
