Why are you having them removed? For health reasons? I have loads on my face but never thought it was anything to be concerned about.

In answer to your questions, sorry it wasn't a very productive post as I have no idea! I'm just curious.

I'm gettin one on my face removed by laser treatments,
I had to be seen privately because its for cosmetic reasons and I was told as I'm only 17 its a bad idea to have it cut out because it would leave a huge scar where my skin stretches as I grew.
As mine isn't cancerous/likely to be cancerous I'm, having it lasered which basically makes it fade away to skin colour/removes hair if there is any.
It's expensive and fairly long winded but it's made me feel much better about myself.
Don't know if that helps at all.

And if you want it done cosmetically, but on the NHS, you tell your doctor/GP what they should/want to hear.

My mole has got significantly bigger recently.

My mole has changed colour and got darker.

My mole had started to hurt.

etc, all common symptoms of skin melanoma, your doctor fears you have skin cancer and sends you off to get your mole/moles removed for free. My friend claims to have done this to get her mole removed, its always a thing to try if you're hardcore and really want it done.

Not exactly the most moral thing to do though is it? There's people out there that actually have these symptons and your friend is lying to the doctor just so she can get hers done free too. Hmm.

Just so you know, I had a mole removed on my chest ... purely cosmetic reasons though was told I'd be left with a thin white line as a scar. This was fine with me, but it's been 3 years now and I'm left with a light pruple 'crater' looking scar. My sister and a friend of hers had the same result, all told we'd have a thing scar ... be careful as the result may be worse.

your friend is a dunce.

will it hurt? yes
will they scar? yes
how long to disappear? however long it takes for you to die, plus a few weeks...

Concealer doesn't really cover moles, unless industrial.
