Panicking about this because I haven't even written my first draft yet and it's due in very soon....... but anyway I just wanted to ask about the structure of this essay. Do we compare the two texts directly (so like flicking between both texts) or do we write about one and then the other? Help would be appreciated! Thank you!

It depends what you mean by 'compare directly'. A generally accepted structure is to do thematic analysis - to take a common theme from your texts, analyse its presentation in each text (separate paragraph for each text), finish with a couple of quick lines on why they are similar/different, and then repeat until you hit the right word count.
