But this niceness/genuineness isn't something I've based off a quick interaction, I've known this person for several months and I find their personality to just be like that. It's not something I've assumed based up on their exterior appearance

Ha-ha then its not like the title puts it.

Anyways, I think there are many other people who you meet who genuinely wants to be nice and genuine and all that but simply is unable to for various reasons - like social anxiety for example.

i really admire people like that.

Nice people are a bit like really sweet cake. You take one bite of them the first time and think, 'wow this is amazing'. Then you eat more of it, get to really taste it and realise the sweetness is actually quite sickening. You eventually throw it away in disgust.

    Don't hate me

I know someone like that. They're really close with my friends but have never been interested in talking to me. I still think they're fricking awesome though, I know that makes me pathetic

Just because you can't fathom with your brain that some people are genuinely nice it doesn't mean that all 'nice' people have ulterior motives.

Jealousy because someone is nice smh.

It is rare to find a genuinely nice person because others take advantage of them and they get sick of it, resorting in passive aggressive fake niceness, it's a vicious circle. Like it or not people simply don't respect or reward kindness as much as they do aggression, because people will do the right thing out of fear more often than they will out of respect for kindness. I'm talking most people here, there's a few genuinely good people out there who can defend themselves and also be nice, but they're rare.

its true. I once to moved to another country and started school there, but I was afraid of everyone that I was so quiet because everyone was different from the people I was used to back at my old school in my home country. Its not a wonderful experience at first but eventually I started to get to know them and someone engaging me in a conversation when I was new made me feel good.
