Interesting 1st match for man u and chelsea. Should be a cracker!
Arsenal are facing ok teams until we reach man u (and maybe charlton), so hopefully our unbeaten record will remain in tact.

Nah, Rooney will be shatttered from his efforts in euro2004 . Plus, how do you know that he'll still be in everton team at the start of the season? Also, everton are a pretty average team, and one player alon cannot make that team a good team.

I'm very glad my team (Palace) have a game we could actually win on the first day..if we got battered by Chelsea or somebody first day I think our confidence, even with Dowie as our manager, may be too fragile to cope with that very well. November is looking a horrible month, we play Arsenal, then Liverpool then Newcastle in a row

Oh well just happy to be back in the prem, roll on August 14th

    I can hope

I think Chelsea v Man U will definitely be on Sky so wouldn't be the featured MotD game, so yes it may well be the promoted teams.

They do cover the featured games on Sky, otherwise the people without Sky wouldn't get to see one of the biggest games of the day!

There are also extra live games on Sky this season.

    Expect Chelsea v Man Utd to kick-off at 1.15, followed by the usual 3pm kick-offs, and a 5.15 kick-off.

Yeh but I doubt it would be the top featured game. 5.15 kick off would prob be Arsenal, everyone will still be talking about Ronney so that game has a big attraction.

Does anybody know when the dates for FA Cup and Carling Cup rounds are published?

Screw the Premiership crap, my Oxford United are away to Boston for the opener. Unfortunately I'll be in Thailand for our first 2 home matches, then Reading Festival for another, then off to Uni so I'm going to be missing alot of the action.

Support your local team, it's what football is really about.
