    Hey, just firmed Bath today.

    What Have you applied for?

Electrical and Electronic Engineering (With placement)

    Where are you from?

    Hong Kong

What are you studying at the moment?

IB - HL Maths, HL Physics, HL Economics

What accommodation(s) are you interested in?

    Marlborough and Solsbury.

Any other EEE applicants or travelling from HK? I would also like to know anyone's opinion on the course if they are taking it.
It's an outstanding course - one of the best in the UK. There will definitely be a lot of other HK students - though I doubt they'll be on TSR.

    Why Marlborough and Solsbury?

No. Norwood and Westwood are also fine.

But fancy needing an En-Suite and a flatscreen TV at university... It's the epitome of antisocial behaviour.

Personally I do agree, I'd rather spend the money on other things. But people are welcome to their own choice, no need to badger everyone who chooses otherwise, it's their money, their choice!

All I'm saying is, there's no need to constantly criticise everyone on here who decides they'd like an ensuite. It's their decision not yours.

I am being a philanthropist; preventing their future debt.

You basically apply for the placement like a normal job so you can choose the city or company. You don't even have to work in the UK, you can choose to work abroad but you have to speak the language of the country you want to work in. It's not an opportunity to learn a new language.

Polden Court is full catered so you get an eat and drink card with £55 credit put in weekly. You can opt for a single or double bed. The rooms are quite big and so are the en-suite showers, some of them have bathtubs inside. There are also mini fridges and a kettle in the rooms.

The Quads is part catered so you get an eat and drink card with £27.50 credit put in per week. The rooms here are quite small this includes the en-suite bathroom. You can only get single beds. The rooms and facilities look more modern though because The Quads weren't built too long ago.

Both accommodations have communal lounges. Polden Court has one on the ground floor and The Quads have one on each floor. These social spaces have a large TV with freeview, sofa and bean bags and a table with chairs. Both accommodations have TVs in each room with a TV license.

At the moment I'm thinking of The Quads/Woodland Court/Marlborough and Solsbury Court. Does anyone know what it's like living in these areas? I'd preferably like to be around a lot of students and have head that The Quads have a large social area. Any help would be greatly appreciated
