Damn, I can't believe I got pKa and Ka mixed up! Now I'm getting worried about being able to get a B on that paper now. And since it was relatively easy, they may move the boundaries up....

Oh well, it's done. No use worrying about it. Will have to do well on my last 2 Chemistry papers.

is the optimal temperature low temp and low pressure?

coz is an exo reaction and there are 10moles on the right and 9mole on the left

pKa = - log Ka
they gave Ka
pKa = pH
lower pH = stronger acid

sorry, the above is not right. The shape should like strong acid vs strong base
The shape should be like strong base/weak acid as it was KOH and CH3COOH, so he was right

yes KOH VS CH3COOH
STRONG BASE VS WEAK ACID
WHAT ARE U STUPID?
EVERYONE KNOWS CH3COOH IS A WEAK ACID

Whoa, cool it, that was a little unnecessary.

nearly laughed out loud in biology exam today - thymol blue came up again!! didnt need to know anything about pH titrations though, it just happened to be the indicator used for a random experiment...just thought it was vaguely amusing.

Sounds right. But as I remember, the reaction in question was an endothermic reaction, +ve enthaply change, so the temperature should as high as possible to let the equilibrium position shifts to right. Is that right?
