    Hi,

I'm pretty sure of which uni I'm going to insure (ABB offer) and I'm going to that applicant day + the applicant days of the two unis that are "competing" for firm (both AAA offers). This will be done by the end of March.

However I'm still waiting on a 5th decision. I know the likelihood is that I'll have this by the end of March, but if I don't, I'll then most likely have decided on firm & insurance from my other four offers. In this case should I withdraw from the 5th uni? Or wait in case they give me an offer even though I most likely won't be accepting it?

Also, as there's no point withdrawing before the applicant day for one of the possible firms in late March, I'll probably be waiting until after 31st March to withdraw (granted I receive no decision by this time of course). Would this mean I have the later deadline for replying?

There is absolutely no hurry to firm / insure any universities. Whatever you do, don't do it until you are absolutely certain about your choices, and you have been certain for some time. We see far too many students on these boards who firm / insure early in the year, and come the spring they are regretting their choices and are asking how to get out of it.

The deadline for replying is at the earliest the 4th May - and if your last uni replies after 31st March, then you get even longer to decide https://www.ucas.com/ucas/undergradu...rack/key-dates.

There's no sense in withdrawing from the fifth uni unless there's a pressing reason (I can't see one). You never know - you might go to the applicant days and discover that you absolutely hate them, and are quite glad of an offer from the fifth uni!
